Vision and Direction

Happy New Year!

As we enter 2024 it’s clear from a quick browse of LinkedIn posts that there is a definite theme. A new year seems to inspire reflection on the year just gone and motivates people to make changes as they think about what they want for the future.

It often seems to take an event such as a new year or a change in circumstances to make us reflect, but how do we keep in mind the things that really matter all year round, regardless of what’s happening around us?

At Starfish Partners we believe that keeping sight of a clear vision can be a game changer. It should be your north star, and if you can keep in mind what you want to achieve and where you are heading it can provide you with a picture of a different reality for the future.  It can help you to make better decisions about what is important, and also what is not. It can make more sense of all the daily tasks and events that you do and link them to a bigger sense of purpose.

Talking about vision or purpose might sound like something unattainable or not practical, but whatever your vision might be it should be something to aspire to and that you are passionate about. Your vision might change over time, but if you’re clear about it then it won’t be just another new years resolution which starts with good intentions but has gone away by the end of January. It will be something that shapes your decisions, engages your heart and mind, motivates you, and sustains you when things get tough.

How will you represent your vision so that it inspires you to action?
